Rytis et Cyril

Joint interview

After joining the Hager Group in 2024, advizeo is continuing its international expansion with the acquisition of Comgy, a German company specialized in energy data collection. Together, the two players combine technological expertise and a shared vision to support the energy transition of the German real estate sector. To better understand the roots of this partnership and the opportunities it creates, we asked a few questions to Cyril, CEO of advizeo, and Rytis, CEO of Comgy.

How did you come up with the idea of creating a company in the field of Energy Management?

Cyril: I started my career as an engineer in the construction sector and quickly asked myself how we could optimize the energy consumption of existing buildings, which account for the majority of energy use compared to new ones. The challenge is significant: in France alone, tertiary buildings cover 1.2 billion m² and consume 249 TWh, with 37% of that coming from fossil fuels such as gas and oil.

Rytis: For me, it was striking to see that buildings are the largest source of emissions in Europe and among the least decarbonized, while still being massive energy consumers. Working on the built environment is fascinating, as it is part of our everyday lives—where we live and work. At the same time, it represents a tremendous opportunity, as we are still at the very beginning of the transition to more efficient energy management, especially in the DACH region.

What motivated you to join forces?

Cyril: Since January 2025, advizeo has been expanding in Germany, and we quickly established a partnership with Comgy because our solutions are complementary. Comgy brings the ability to connect to all types of meters used in Germany, while advizeo brings expertise and solutions in monitoring and performance improvement. A few months later, the acquisition felt like a natural step, as it allows us to offer the best Energy Management solutions to the German market.

Rytis: This partnership also builds on advizeo’s experience, which over more than ten years has become a leading reference in Energy Management with a team of over 100 professionals. With the support of the Hager Group’s expertise, resources, and network, we can now bring this success to Germany. From our very first operational collaborations, we also realized there was a strong cultural alignment between our teams, which made the decision to unite even more obvious.

What keeps you motivated on a daily basis?

Cyril: What drives me is the impact we are able to achieve thanks to the trust of our clients. The entire advizeo team is working together to reduce the energy consumption of tertiary buildings, and seeing this impact grow and extend across Europe is a real source of pride.

Rytis: What energizes me every day is first and foremost the vital mission of decarbonizing the building sector. I also enjoy tackling the complex challenges that arise directly in our built environment. And above all, I find great motivation in working with a talented and passionate team that shares the same ambition.

Looking ahead, what excites you most about advizeo by Hager?

Cyril: With the support of the Hager Group, our growth prospects in Europe are exponential. We are starting in Italy and Germany this year, but our ambition is now European, and we plan to continue this momentum in the years to come. There is still much to do, as it is urgent to reduce energy consumption, particularly from fossil sources, in the building sector.

Rytis: What excites me most is the opportunity to further expand the solution portfolio and deploy it in Germany to accelerate the decarbonization of buildings. Today we already have a strong offering that covers the entire spectrum, from data collection to the implementation of concrete measures. And the growth potential is enormous, as the market is still in its early stages.
